The term contactless payment is a concept in retail, different from electronic payment.

We have noticed that there is little to be found online about contactless cash payments other than what is written about electronic payments with, for example, a debit card. Contactless payments mean that cash payments are taken over by a cash recycler/payment terminal. As a result, there is no physical contact with cash by staff anymore during a payment. The customer enters the money, and the automat returns the change to the customer. The payment is finished.

What are the advantages of this, you may ask. 

The cash recycler replaces the cash drawer and automates all cash payments. And this has many advantages such as:

• CAP series Type 2: This is a lightning-fast midrange solution for virtually all situations where speed is a must. This model also features the high-speed coin module and a 4-note recycler. In addition, the banknote recycler in this model can also disburse bundles, so even larger transactions can be processed quickly.

• CAP series Type 3: This is a high-end solution for large supermarkets and wholesalers, for example. It is ideally suited for large sales volumes where customers also pay with large denominations. This model also features the high-speed coin module and a 6-note recycler. The note recycler in this model can accept and disburse bundles, so even larger transactions can be processed quickly.
