It's party time again in Belgium. In the week that the Dutch supermarket chain set foot on Belgian soil 10 years ago, the 60th store in Merchtem opened on Wednesday 17 March.

The massive building that once housed the butcher's shop and bottling plant has been transformed into a beautiful location with an Albert Heijn supermarket, apartments, restaurant, swimming pool and car park. The industrial character has been preserved. Very worthwhile to take a look!
